Kodak launches the PLAYSPORT Zx5 BURTON Edition pocket Full HD video camera. The special edition camcorder is designed for people who love snow. It is waterproof, and shockproof so no need to worry about carving through fresh powder or hitting a rail or hard pack in a terrain park. The Zx5 features a 5 Megapixel CMOS sensor for capturing 5 Megapixel still images and recording Full HD 1080p video.

LG's GW880 OMS Phone for China Mobile

Here is another OMS Phone (or OPhone) for China Mobile, this time from Korean company LG. The phone is known as the LG GW880 and is the forth OPhone we’ve seen after Lenovo O1, Dell mini 3i and Philips V900.

The GW880 supports China’s Mobile TD-SCDMA 3G network as well as GSM and EDGE. It has a 3.5-inch 480×800 touchscreen, a 5 Megapixel camera with auto focus and flash, a 0.3 Megapixel front camera. The smartphone has integrated CMMB/MBBMS mobile TV tuner. It packs 256MB RAM and 512MB ROM.

Nokia unveils its new X-series mobile phone and the first model introduced is the X6. At just 0.55-inch thick, the Nokia X6 features a 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display, a 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash and 32GB internal storage.

Sony’s S-Series Walkman gets a price, and so does the E-Series

It’s sometimes hard to believe how valueless the Walkman brand has become in the 21st century. Perhaps the most iconic gadget of the 80s, the Walkman has lost all of its branding cachet to Apple’s iPod, and Sony has spent the last few years trying to reinvent the Walkman line to go head to head with Cupertino.

The latest S-Series of Walkmans is Sony’s newest attempt to do just that. Not intended to go toe to toe with the iPod Touch, the Walkman S-Series is a 2.4-inch QVGA LCD portable media player coming in both 8GB and 16GB varieties.

The S-Series has a recordable FM Tuner with 30 station presets, a rechargeable lithium ion battery rated for 42 hours of audio or 6.4 hours of video playback. It also includes built-in stereo speakers, which will drop the music to 17 hours, and video playback to five hours. The usual host of formats is provided: JPG, MP3, WMA, AAC, H264, WMV and MP4.

The 8GB S-Series will retail for $110 and the 16GB for $130.

Sony have also announced a cheaper E-Series flavor, for those who eschew using a Walkman as a boombox. It ditches the speakers, shrinks the screen to a 2-inch QVGA, and removes H264 support. The 8GB E-Series is a paltry $80, while the 16GB will set you back $20 more.

All Sony’s Walkmans support iTunes and Windows Media Player, and come in a panoply of chromatic options. Likely to replace the iPod with the Walkman in the minds of consumers? Unlikely indeed. But at least we can all count on the fact that someday, the iPod will be just as retro-iconic a gadget as the Walkman.

Dell's Android Smartphone: New Photos and Specs

We've mentioned Dell's rumored phone could hit China in very near future, and if legit, this info backs up the impression of the device being all-but ready. Specs could include a 3.5-inch display (640x360), GPS, MicroSD slot, and 3Mp camera.

These new pics look pretty real, and match what we've seen before. Seems like the Ophone mini3i (as China Mobile may call it), is looking increasing like a done deal.

AT&T Sony Ericsson C905a and W518a Mobile Phones

AT&T launches two new Sony Ericsson mobile phones in the US market, including the C905a Cyber-shot and the W518a Walkman phone that is the enhanced version of the W508 Walkman with additional A-GPS support.

The C905a Cyber-shot features a 2.4-inch LCD display and a 8.1 Megapixel camera with Xenon flash, auto focus, GPS geo-tagging and face detection. On the other hand, the W518a Walkman clamshell has a 3.2 Megapixel camera with geo-tagging, a 240×320 color display, an external display and Bluetooth.

Both phones support Memory Stick Micro (M2) memory cards. The Sony Ericsson C905a and W518a will be released on 19 July for $179.99 and $49.99, both after mail-in rebate with a 2-year contract.

T-Mobile Dash 3G is the HTC Snap

T-Mobile USA is going to launch in July the Dash 3G QWERTY smartphone, which is basically HTC’s Snap.The candy-bar style Dash 3G features full QWERTY keyboard, a trackball and a 2.4-inch color display. It supports GPS, WiFi 802.11b/g and high-speed 3G network. The phone runs Windows Mobile 6.1.

Samsung Color E-Paper Display is Video-capable

Samsung shows a 10.2-inch e-paper color display at the SID Display Week 2009. The 10.2-inch display offers 320×240 resolution and is able to show 64 colors. It serves as an e-paper display as well as video display. Still, the display is in the prototype stage.

Samsung Omnia2 GT-i8000 Appears

After the OmniaHD, here is Samsung’s new Omnia2 GT-i8000 touchscreen phone that is the successor of the Omnia i900. The Omnia 2 features a 3.7-inch touchscreen display, and a 8.1 Megapixel camera with dual LED flash and VGA video recording capability.

Based on Qualcomm’s processor and chipset, the Omnia2 runs Windows Mobile 6.1 with the TouchWiz UI. The phone supports WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, and 3G/3.5G HSDPA networks. It has 150MB internal memory and a microSD card slot. Omnia2’s media player supports DivX and XviD video playback.

Samsung Pixon12 M8910 12 Megapixel Touchscreen Phone

Pixon12 features a 3.1-inch AMODLED touchscreen display with 10,000:1 contrast and a 12 Megapixel with touch auto-focus, Xenon and Power LED flash, 28mm wide angle lens, Smart Auto mode and dedicated shutter button. The Pixon12 can record 720×480 videos at 30fps. It includes Share Pix function that allows users to upload photos and videos to social networking sites like Facebook, Picasa, Flickr, MySpace, Photobucket.

The phone has built-in GPS receiver, FM tuner, 150MB internal memory and a microSD card slot. It supports quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band HSPA 3.5 networks as well as WiFi connectivity.

Samsung Pixon12 will be released in Europe from end of June and other regions in August.
