Creative introduced at the IFA 2010 two new headphones, the lightweight, portable yet powerful HQ-1600 and the colorful HQ-1450 with pattern design.
The Creative HQ-1600 features 40mm drivers with Neodymium magnet with copper-clad aluminum wire voice coil that delivers natural and balanced sound. It has an over-the-ear design for better acoustic isolation, an adjustable headband and ear cups incorporating soft leatherette ear cushions. It weighs just 180g.
Ultimate Ears 18 Pro Custom Monitors
Ultimate Ears introduces the 18 Pro in-ear custom monitors. Inside each custom earpiece there is the six-speaker system that “delivers the headroom needed for stage use while optimally reproducing the total pro audio frequency range.”
The Ultimate Ears 18 Pro features -26 dB of isolation and passive noise cancellation. It offers 110.6 dB @ 1 kHz Input Sensitivity, 20 Hz to 18,000 Hz Frequency Response, 21ohm impedance. It has a 3.5mm gold-plated connector. The 18 Pro is priced at $1350.
Korg announced the Kaossilator Pro, a track-making tool with live performance power. The new USB device features 200 Programs, including 15 effect programs; 8 Favorites for instant selection, 4 Loop Recording Banks, each with unlimited overdubs; 4 measures (16 beats) per bank, Gate Arpeggiator offers 31 scales in any key and sync’s to internal, MIDI, or Tap Tempo. There is a X-Y touchpad that lets users perform complex phrases with one finger.
Kaossilator Pro offers RCA stereo ins/outs; ¼” Mic input, ¼” headphone out, MIDI in/out, SD card slot and USB port. It comes with Editing, Librarian and MIDI Control software. The price is $399.
