She is very excited to return home and reunite with her husband and her children in US.

Dressed in a green salwar kameez designed by Manish Malhotra, Madhuri stated “Going back to US and spending time with my sons is all I’m thinking of, at the moment.”

The actress said further, “I had to be convinced a lot to take up Jhalak because I wasn’t willing to leave my kids in the US.”

She said, “Now that the show is over, I want to go back to my family and sons Arin and Rayan in Denver. I have been missing them so much. I’ve not cooked for them for months and I’d love to feed them from my kitchen once I am back.”

During her stay in India she was offered numerous film offers and she has also done an endorsement.

She added “Talks are on and if everything works out well, I will be part of the next edition of JDJ. Though, nothing is finalised as of now.”

Madhuri Dixit to play a mother role for Sonam Kapoor

If what we hear is true, Madhuri Dixit may soon playing the role of Sonam Kapoor’s mother in Anil Kapoor’s remake of the Hollywood film, Freaky Friday.

The role was previously offered to Shabhana Azmi, Rekha and Kirron Kher who had to turn it down due to date clashes. When contacted Rikku, who has looked after Madhuri’s career from the start, admits Madhuri’s endorsement plans.

’She is at this very moment shooting for an endorsement campaign for Hindustan Lever product. Other endorsements are being finalised. Meetings are on,’ he said. The buzz in the film industry is that Madhuri is determined to make a comeback in movies.

Apparently Yash Raj Films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar and UTV have come up with tempting offers. Madhuri is on the verge of signing one of these. ’You’re right. India's first woman prime minister Indira Gandhis biopic in Bollywood

Asian-American filmmaker Krishna Shah is set to make a biopic on Indira Gandhi and has roped in Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit to play the role of India’s first and only woman prime minister.

Titled "Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story", the film was announced on the late prime minister’s 92nd birth anniversary Thursday. The pre-production of the film has already been done. It will go on floors in mid 2010 and be shot in India, Britain, US and Russia.

"I have followed Indira Gandhi’s life through media, books and critics. It’s such an exciting and dramatic story. I want the future generation to know her story. A whole new generation has grown and matured since her assassination and through this film I hope to connect people with their history and legacy," Shah said in a press release.

Apart from Madhuri, Bollywood actors Dharmendra, Abhay Deol and Nana Patekar have been approached to play Motilal Nehru, Rajiv Gandhi and Jayaprakash Narayan respectively.

Hollywood star Tom Hanks is likely to be a part of the film as former US president Lyndon Baines Johnson. Tommy Lee Jones is also being approached for a pivotal role in the film.

"Mother: The Indira Gandhi Story" will be made in two parts.

While the first part will unfold the story from her birth to her emergence as "Maa Durga" (goddess of War) after her victory against Pakistan in the 1971 war, the second instalment will cover her political journey from the rise of her son Sanjay Gandhi to her assassination in 1984, Shah said.

Shah has been doing research for the project since two decades. He has read books on her, interviewed politicians, journalists, bureaucrats, writers, military men and her contemporaries to dig information.
