Sailor Moon
Ever since she was featured in an issue of Teen Vogue more than two years ago, Catherine Holstein has been my favorite. She has had a persistent presence in the budding designer scene, and while she's not as frequently name-dropped as, say, Alexander Wang, she has true talent and a eye for style that gives her an edge of longevity over one-collection wonders.
I still haven't gotten over the sailor dress that launched her label and I surely will never recover from the fact that I'm missing her sample sale this weekend. Seventy-five percent off her fall collection, right in my old Lower East Side stomping grounds.
There is no time that I don't wish I was in New York, but the sentiment is even stronger this weekend.
