Literary Love

Joanna Goddard is more or less my hero. She is adorable, she is clever, and she is quite the talented writer. She entertains me on an hourly basis with her cute posts for her own web site, A Cup of Jo, as well as Glamour's sweet blog Smitten.

After reading an endlessly cool article about holiday parties that don't cost a pretty penny, it finally clicked. Turns out one of my favorite New York Times writers, Alex Williams, is Joanna's Alex. The same Alex who proposed to her on a boat on the shore of the Hudson River.

How could I not know this? And how could two of the most delightful writers—working for two of the biggest media corporations—in all of New York City be a couple?

Ah, true love. Like Santa Claus, fairy godmothers, and the perfect pair of flats, it isn't easy to find but it certainly exists.
