I've had this sweet lace shift dress for years, and this is the very first time I've pulled it out of my closet. You know those fashion authorities who insist on throwing things out that you haven't worn in a year? Never abide by that.
I have always felt too shy to wear such apologetically sweet lace, but I woke up this morning and just knew this was the right dress for today. After trying on a pearl collar necklace and sophisticated black skimmers, I added a colorful pendant bauble and metallic flats to make the lace a little more playful.
The back bow is my favorite part, so I wore my hair back to put it on full display -- even though I'm likely the only person who noticed it.
