Flock Together
I've always been far more captivated by fashion designers than celebrities. Legendary designers like Kate Spade, Cynthia Rowley, and Betsey Johnson aren't simply acting the part. They live the fanciful lifestyle of their brands; they are their own target customer.
Few young designers fit this category--yet--but Erin Fetherston is one who epitomizes her label. She creates clothes for cute, whimsical girls who would choose magical over practical and shimmery over sensible. Birds of a Fether, Erin's new short film, is like a fairy tale for fashionistas. Sparkled shoes, sparkled stuffed animals, even sparkled trumpets. It's sort of like a modern Breakfast at Tiffany's with a cast full of present day Holly Golightlys.
