Microsoft Surface takes up residence in more and more hotels
The number of upmarket hotels offering interactive services to their clients via technology supplied by Microsoft Surface continues to rise. The tables equipped with a multi tactile interface were first installed in a bar lounge of the Harrah's group, in Las Vegas, in June 2008. Two months later, they appeared in the lobbies of five hotels in the Sheraton chain, in Boston, Chicago, New York, San Francisco and Seattle.
Harrah's hotel and casino in Atlantic City will from now on also offer this type of service, in its "Xhibition" bar. No less than seven units have been deployed. Consequently, this subsidiary of Harrah's Entertainment will offer its clients the opportunity to watch online videos; just one example of the many possible applications. In any event, here is a new and innovative way of enjoying yourself, whilst sipping a drink.more
