Bundled Up

My hopes of moving to New York City after college can be traced back to junior high, but just recently a part of me wants to pack my bags (or more specifically, pack my coats) and move to Colorado or South Dakota or even Alaska. Anywhere with an average annual snowfalls that exceed 100 inches will do. There's something so magical about the chill of winter weather and the unmatched coziness of a cup of tea, a warm blanket, and a crackling fire in the fireplace.

This toasty coat, my second new one this year, was snapped up at the unlikeliest of places: the maternity department of Target.

The Liz Lange for Target line always has gorgeous clothes designed specifically with baby bumps in mind, and while my what-to-expect-when-you're-expecting days are years away, I couldn't pass up this plaid ruffle-hem empire-waist coat. Do you think anyone will notice that the label reads "maternity?"

My outfit of the day reads like a cheap for chic how-to: coat, Liz Lange for Target. jeans, Charlotte Ronson for JCP. cardigan, J. Crew. sparkly flats, Payless.
