Since returning from Texas, most of my time has been devoted to cuddling up under a loads of blankets, watching the snow fall, and reading books (a nice mix of Fitzgerald and Twilight). As nice as it is to wear pajamas for days on end, I've been dying to debut my new boots and finally had the chance last night.
I went to dinner with my parents to celebrate my last weekend at home, then met a few high school friends for drinks (hi, Jessica!). I'm usually reluctant to wear brown with black, but I liked the way the cognac color of the boots looked against my all-black outfit. Plus, the long sleeve dress, thick leggings, and high boots were an effective defense against below-zero temperatures. Brrr!
