I've been eying Frye campus boots for ages, but I could never quite wrap my mind around the square toe. These have all of the best features of Frye's--cognac color, stacked heel, slight cowboy style--with a cute rounded toe. I spotted them at a local department store with a sale sign in front of them, so I hurriedly asked the saleswoman for my size. Much to my surprise, my size was the only size left.
Only after inspecting the receipt did I realize they weren't on sale. The Coach logo-bedecked riding boots were on sale for $150; these were not. I decided that the $190 price tag was the worth it and kept them, and felt utter relief when I spotted them on Macy's for $350.
