I have been wanting to add a little chambray to my wardrobe for spring, but of all of the dozens of shirts that I've tried on, I haven't found one that's soft worn-in perfection the way chambray should be.
They're too boxy or too short, too fitted or too loose, and searching for the perfect chambray shirt is a little bit like Goldilocks searching for the perfect bowl of porridge. After searching high and low, I finally found one that is just right (Gap, $60). The shirred drop waist makes it a little girlie, while the cuffed up sleeves and worn-to-perfection shade retains the rustic appeal of the fabric.
Wouldn't it be fun to wear with a stack of heavy gold bracelets and glittery flats?
