My New Chapter: NYC

brooklyn3
As of today, I have an apartment and a job in new york city. I always suspected I was a lucky girl, but my whirlwind trip to the city last week reaffirmed that.

Despite having studied magazine journalism, digital media has my heart (and has for years). The web is the single reason I have had the coolest experiences of my life; it's how I nabbed an internship at Teen Vogue, visited New York Fashion Week, published a book, attended a Los Angeles movie premiere, and spoke at SXSW. It's also, ultimately, how I got a job.

My new workplace is at one of the coolest media + marketing agencies in the country, my title is editorial coordinator, and my job description includes content generation, social networking, digital marketing, and website relaunching. In short, a little bit of everything I love. It's a total pinch-me position, especially since I fully expected to move to NYC unemployed (and suspected that I would still be jobless when I came home for Christmas).

Oh, and these pictures? Just a few soon-to-be-favorite places near my new neighborhood! (Counterclockwise, that's Brooklyn Ale House, The Gutter, Whisk, and Catbird)
