Just 48 hours after I kissed Missouri goodbye, I'm settled into my new apartment (and new life) in New York City. I was greeted with shiny hardwood floors and the biggest bedroom I've had in my whole life.
I was also greeted with 10 boxes and a bed that required nuts and bolts and tools. Even worse, I was without an air-conditioner and internet the first few days. (Guess which one I was more worried about?)
After several sweaty days of unpacking and more than several trips to Bed Bath and Beyond, my mom and I turned four empty walls into a bright new bedroom.
Now all I'm missing is a side table. And a desk. And a chair. And a rug. But those things can wait, because I'm off to explore the city.
