Liberty Love

libertyloots

The second I walked into Target on Sunday morning, I made a beeline for the coin purse clutch (d.), which is infinitely cuter in person, if that's even possible. I loved the pattern so much that I grabbed that matching tote (c.), which looks as if it was specially made with my Macbook in mind.

I immediately grabbed the ruffled-neck top (e.), skipping the dressing room because I decided it was so me that it was destined to fit (I was right!). Sadly, I soon realized that Liberty of London's dresses would be much too long for my petite height. A certain kind of girl can pull off a maxi dress, but what should be ankle-skimming on a taller girl is floor-dragging on me. Not cute.

To console myself, I headed over to the kids department where I was thrilled to find floral skirts with sweet chiffon trim (a. & b.). Unfortunately, even these are a little too long on me I guess 12 year olds don't like their skirts as short as I do so some wash machine-shrinkage or waistband-rolling will be a must.

I couldn't find the stationary, the rainboots were already sold out of my size, and the storage containers were just too big to carry, though I might go back. I've haven't stopped thinking about the tiered dessert tray and I wouldn't be surprised if I found myself there again today. As my mom said, it would be an impossibly stylish display for all of my antique jewelry. And I will have my own apartment to decorate in a matter of months (that is, unless I live in my parents' basement).

Did you get any Liberty loot?
